Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

Welcome to the world famous san diego zoo

A majestic Malaysian tiger marks his territory at the San Diego Zoo.

The San Diego Zoo is one of the premiere wildlife sanctuaries and conservation organizations in the world, covering over 100 acres of intricately crafted ecosystems from across the planet, it’s home to more than 12,000 animals from more than 680 species and subspecies. To say there is a lot to see is a massive understatement, you could spend a lifetime exploring this place and still find new surprises, as I have found out.

I’m Alexander Ayling, a travel and adventure filmmaker born and raised in San Diego. I’ve been fortune enough to have visited the San Diego Zoo more times than I can remember, and I credit these early childhood core memories as partly shaping my immense curiosity about the world, and the animals, plants, and people that live in it.

A visit to the San Diego Zoo is for many, a once in a lifetime experience, and if you’re a parent, your children will remember it for the rest of their lives. So it’s worth taking a few minutes to get oriented and familiarized with this massive park, in order to make the most of your time.

This is why I’ve put together this article, as well as the corresponding Youtube San Diego Zoo Guide video, to share the local tips, suggestions and hidden gems that lay waiting for the curious traveler to uncover. So pour yourself a drink, a coffee, a tea, or a frosty cold one, and get ready for an adventure.
